Grace Mission began in 1976 as a result of an American missionary helping Pastor Beril Pierre-Louis start a small church on the front porch of his home in Carrefour, Haiti.

The American missionary invited several men and women from Bible believing churches in America to join him in helping the Grace Baptist Church of Carrefour get started by helping build the first building and assisting in training the growing congregation. Two other Haitian pastors from Ganthier and Palmiste a Vin heard about what God was doing in Carrefour and asked for assistance in reaching their villages with the gospel.

From this small beginning God has blessed the ministry. Today there is a fellowship of 28 churches, 20 Christian schools, a Bible Institute with 4 campuses, a full time medical clinic with 5 outposts and a food program that feeds needy children in the schools and other hungry people at the clinic and in the villages where Grace Mission serves.

The mission assists many churches in America as they serve alongside their brothers and sisters in Haiti through Grace Mission. Grace Mission believes God is working through the church to accomplish His will. For this reason the mission sees itself as a servant agency to the churches in America to help them minister in Haiti in a way that is beneficial, accountable and safe.

All the people who travel with Grace Mission to serve in Haiti are volunteers who raise their own support. The love gifts sent from America to Haiti through Grace Mission help support over 230 workers, including program administrators, office staff, pastors, school teachers, medical staff and others. The food program serves thousands of meals each week to hungry needy children and elderly people.

By God's grace the ministry continues to have a spiritual impact on people in Haiti as well as in America. Many American Christians have had their lives changed from ministering in Haiti.
